Celebrate the birthday of a great London film club at The Duke Mitchell's Birthday Bash (18 August)

Duke Mitchell Film Club's Birthday Bash

7 Dials Club, London.

7pm, Mon Aug 18 – FREE.

The film club that celebrates VHS and old 35mm and 16mm, and anything generally offbeat and unseen, is now seven years young. To celebrate, a completely free evening of events is planned for the 18th August in the 7 Dials Club in central London. On the menu is, in the words of the Duke: "trailer trash slots both new and old, our usual quiz but with a new twist, mad shorts, weird bits and all the usual mayhem will top and tail an evening that is sure to prove as stifling as the heatwave outside." One of my favourite film clubs (they introduced me to STRANGERS IN PARADISE, for one thing), with a welcoming and mischeivous atmosphere always, this is highly recommended.
