Deadline had a story breaking just today that surprised me. It seems NBC want to buck the trend of network television not taking chances, and have renewed show runner Bryan Fuller's adaptation of Thomas Harris's crime novels for a third season.

Season 2 is just about to wrap in the US, and is still airing on Sky Living in the UK.

I recently previewed Season 2 here, and took a look back at Season 1.  Now it seems I'll be spending a lot more time writing on this series for the foreseeable future.
