Mendes on Bond

Just when I thought the Bond franchise might actually start featuring long-running plot arcs, director of Bond 24 Sam Mendes goes and shoots that down. In a recent interview the director had a few tiny nuggets of information about the next, as yet untitled, Bond film. Turns out the next two films won't be a two-part story after all . He mentions that Bond 24 will feel like the second part of the last film, Skyfall, although it will not have a direct narrative continuation. Scriptwriter John Logan has so far refused to comment on the two-part story idea now being disbanded. It seems that Bond will now be back in individual instalments only, though with some connection (presumably no reset button). So I guess we will never find out what exactly the Quantum organisation from the first two Daniel Craig Bond films was up to...

Bond 24 is released in the UK on October 23, 2015 and in the US on November 6, 2015.
