Jessica Chastain will play Marilyn Monroe in new biopic

So what if she's a natural redhead? Jessica Chastain looks set to play Hollywood icon Marilyn Monroe in a new biopic, reports The Wrap. The two-time Oscar nominee is said to be close to a deal to star in Blonde, based on the Pulitzer prize nominated novel of the same name by Joyce Carol Oates.

Australian film-maker Andrew Dominik, (The Assassination of Jesse James and Killing them Softly) will direct. Blonde is expected to start shooting in August.
