Phoenix Cinema to run a series of fortnightly film salons starting 20 October


The Phoenix in North London has acquired the serves of freelance programmer, events producer and lecturer Nick Walker (Rochester Kino) for a new series of screenings and discussions.

The first Phoenix Film Salon will kick off on Monday 20 October with an evening screening of Effie Gray (time tbc) followed by a post-film discussion. Effie Gray (written by and starring Emma Thompson) offers a look into the personal lives of the artistic elite in Victorian England.

Mike Leigh’s Mr Turner which will be the next Phoenix Film Salon screening on Monday 10 November.
