ALL THAT JAZZ (6.30pm), the winner of four Oscars, hailed as the best film director-choreographer Bob Fosse (Cabaret) ever made, starring Roy Scheider as a chainsmoking stand-in for Fosse himself, struggling to direct a Broadway show while his life and health crumble all around him.
ONE FROM THE HEART (8.55pm) was Francis Ford Coppola's follow-up to Apocalypse Now, a woozy Vegas journey starring Frederic Forrest and Teri Garr as a couple experiencing a breakup and Raul Julia and Nastassja Kinski as sexy strangers who enter their dilemma. Not only does this feature an Oscar-nominated soundtrack by Tom Waits and highly praised photography by Vittorio Storaro, it's also a very important film for anyone interested in filmmaking, due to the pioneering use of video technology Coppola and Storaro used on set - it's hailed as the film that invented 'video assist.'
