If you are a film buff lacking somewhat in the finer details of the horror genre, the Miskatonic Insitute, recently established in London, is here to help with its new series of academic level lectures. Its pilot season includes monthly classes from January to June 2015, Second Thursday of the month, 8 January, 12 February, 12 March, 9 April, 14 May, 11 June.

The lesson on April 9th will see novelist, critic and broadcaster (and horror expert) Kim Newman screen and talk about Gary Sherman’s 1972 British horror film, Death Line (aka Raw Meat), one of the first British horror films to compete with the wave of stronger, more politicised American splatter movies that came in the wake of Night of the Living Dead.
