London East Asian Film Festival

23rd to 25th October. Taking place in Odeon Leicester Square, Odeon Covent Garden and Odeon Panton Street

A new Film Fest is coming to town, fitting nicely inbetween the BFI London Film Festival and the KCCUK’s London Korean Film Festival, the London East Asian Film Festival will run 23-25 October. It comes at a time when both Zipangu and Terracotta festivals - both of which highlighted Asian cinema- appear to be on hold, so it fills a space nicely.

LEAFF will begin in full form in 2016, but this year, it pre-launches with a taster event from 23rd to 25th October. Taking place in Odeon Leicester Square, Odeon Covent Garden and Odeon Panton Street, this mini festival will open  Friday 23rd October with Ryoo Seung-wan's Korean box-office breaker Veteran (followed by a Q&A with its director), and closes with Soi Cheang's Chinese organ transplant actioner SPL2: A Time for Consequences (featuring muay thai legend Tony Jaa).
