The crumbling Battersea power station is due to be redeveloped, but before that happens, the parkland surrounding the station will host a series of film screenings (and the World Cup final) this summer.
Everyman Cinemas has paired up with the Power Station for a summer of pop-up entertainment entitled The Power Of Summer.
- Simply being able to walk in the park itself (Various days)- for £5 visitors can wander around the park and appreciate the architecture of the plant (see its wiki page for historical background).
- Easy Rider- 19th July 6pm -the 60's indie classic that heralded a new wave of US cinema, starring Peter Fonda and Dennis Hopper, is the perfect companion to the recently opened Dennis Hopper exhibition at the RA.
- The Wolf of Wall Street - 12 July 2014 8pm - Martin Scorsese's latest film has been a huge smash in the UK, and given it is riotously funny, should actually work well in a large crowd context.
Tickets for the above are here.
