Reprising his global adventurer role from Armour of God, Jackie Chan as the Asian Hawk gathers together a team of specialists to rediscover the bronze heads of the zodiac, treasures that were once the pride of China. A high-tech, action-packed film directed by and starring Jackie Chan in one of his last big screen appearances as a stunt performer. Released on Blu-ray and DVD on 11 August.
Beginning in stunt work (seen with Bruce Lee in Fist of Fury and Enter the Dragon) Jackie Chan soon established himself as a Kung Fu star in his own right with successful comedy titles such as Drunken Master, notably choreographing his own stunts. Becoming a household name as a Hong Kong actor in films like Police Story and Armour of God paved the way for international stardom, with Chan taking roles in Rumble in the Bronx and co-starring with Chris Tucker in Rush Hour. Family titles such as King Fu Panda and the remake of The Karate Kid have ensured Jackie Chan’s audience spans generations, just as his success covers many areas of the creative industry, as an award winning actor, action choreographer, comedian, director, producer, martial artist, screenwriter, entrepreneur, singer, and stunt performer. We are delighted to welcome Jackie Chan to the stage to discuss his filmmaking career following a special screening of his film Chinese Zodiac which is soon to be released on DVD and Blu-Ray in the UK.
