Barbican Digital Revolution Season

As part of the Barbican's wider Digital Revolution exhibition, their July film season focuses on celebrating the work of leading visual effects companies Framestore and Double Negative. There will special cinema screenings of films these companies provided the visual effects for, plus an interactive laser performance to Robert Henke's electronic music.

Events also include DevArt Young Creators Schools and Communities Workshops and Framed Film Club with screenings of Chicken Run and Muppets Most Wanted.

Personal highlights would have to be the chance to see visual effects supervisor for Framestore Tim Webber discuss his VFX work, acclaimed author Neil Gaiman introduce the animated addition of his work Coraline,   Tim Webber introduce the Oscar Winning Gravity, and the works of acclaimed British director Christopher Nolan, whose The Dark Knight and Inception screen as part of the festival with introductions from Double Negative beforehand.
