From the ICA:
Now in its 18th year, the Made in Prague Festival is back with a month-long programme of Czech cinema, music and visual arts presented across London.
The main focus of this multi-genre celebration of Czech culture is and always has been cinema. The Czech Centre presents the film highlights of the past two years at the ICA throughout November, featuring fiction and documentary films creatively exploring the past and present of the country through stories of resistance (Velvet Terrorists), love and longing (Nowhere in Moravia), social exclusion (The Way Out, The Great Night) or even sport (Fair Play).
Inevitably, the season also tackles the 25th anniversary of the Velvet Revolution. Not just through its film representation and documentation (Citizen Havel, The Magic Voice of Rebel), but mainly through discussions among filmmakers, artists, thinkers and the audience; we have some incredible guests joining us - actor, theatre and film director Miroslav Krobot, and award-winning filmmakers Andrea Sedláčková and Petr Václav. We hope you will enjoy the films, the talks and the atmosphere as much as we have enjoyed preparing them for you.
