Michael Caine's career to be celebrated in style at the Royal Albert Hall (1 October 7pm)

Wednesday 1 October 2014 - 7:30 PM

Royal Albert Hall

The legendary actor, star of The Italian Job, Alfie, Ipcress File, and more recently the constant  supporting presence in Christopher Nolan's films, is to be celebrated in style in a special night at the Royal Albert Hall in aid of the NSPCC- one of Sir Michaels' favourite charities.

Jonathan Ross will interview the two-time Oscar winner live on stage, supported by clips on screens above the stage and music from his best-known films being played live by the London Symphony Orchestra, and performed by singers like Joss Stone and Lance Ellington.

Personally I think it is only fitting that, on top of this, Steve Coogan and Kevin Brydon appear to pay special homage to the man who supplied most of the running gags in their The Trip films.
